Focus

"What I focus on in life is what I get. And if I concentrate on how bad I am or how wrong I am or how inadequate I am, if I concentrate on what I can't do and how there's not enough time in which to do it, isn't that what I get every time? And when I think about how powerful I am, and when I think about what I have left to contribute, and when I think about the difference I can make on this planet, then that's what I get. You see, I recognize that it's not what happens to you; it's what you do about it." ~Mitchell W

Drop a pebble

Drop a pebble in the water: just a splash, and it is gone; But there's half-a-hundred ripples C ircling on and on and on, Spreading, spreading from the center, flowing on out to the sea. And there is no way of telling where the end is going to be. Drop a pebble in the water: in a minute you forget, But there's little waves a-flowing, and there's ripples circling yet, And those little waves a-flowing to a great big wave have grown; You've disturbed a mighty river just by dropping in a stone. Drop an unkind word, or careless: in a minute it is gone; But there's half-a-hundred ripples circling on and on and on. They keep spreading, spreading, spreading from the center as they go, And there is no way to sto...

The Echo of Life

A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly, the son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" Curious, he yells: "Who are you?" He receives the answer: "Who are you?" Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!" He receives the answer: "Coward!" He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?" The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention." And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!" The voice answers: "I admire you!" Again the man screams: "You are a champion!" The voice answers: "You are a champion!" The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our action...

Reaching Your Dream Takes Courage

Courage is admitting that you're afraid and facing that fear directly. It's being strong enough to ask for help and humble enough to accept it. Courage is standing up for what you believe in without worrying about the opinions of others. It's following your own heart, living your own life, and settling for nothing less than the best for yourself. Courage is daring to take a first step, a big leap, or a different path. It's attempting to do something that no one has done before and all others thought impossible. Courage is keeping heart in the face of disappointment and looking at defeat not as an end but as a new beginning. It's believing that things will ultimately get better even as they get worse. Courage is being responsible for your own actions and admitting your own mistakes without placing blame on others. It's relying not on others for your success, but on your own skills and efforts. Courage is refusing to quit even when you're in...

great quotes

Anyone can make u smile, anyone can make u cry, but it takes a special person to make u smile, with tears in your eyes. There are two basic motivating forces: FEAR & LOVE--When we fear..we pull back from life--When we love..we are open to life & live with passion and excitement Sometimes I love being left out. Being left out means not being involved in drama. Forgiveness is power. But, it's not power over someone else. It's a power within yourself. If they can't accept you at your worst, they don't deserve you at your best! There r 2 days in the year nothing can be done. 1 is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do G O S S I P..Generally Obnoxious Self Seeking Ignorant people who feed the need to speak badly about others to feel better about themselves...Janine Nagy Mcphail When you involve yourself in something that has nothing to do with you, make sure you know the facts. Procrastination

Procrastination ~Found while cleaning out my files, I don't even remember saving it. Instead of sitting in a hidden file, it shall sit here in my face to serve its purpose when needed. Sometimes there is so much to do that we can't do it all, so we just get overwhelmed and we don't do anything. The secret to conquering your procrastination lies in five little steps I call STING. S - Select one thing to do. T - Time yourself for one hour, use a timer if that's what it takes.(Many times the job will only take 30 minutes, or they'll find they're not done with the task when the hour is up but they've made giant headway and can see the light at the end of the tunnel and live with less guilt.) I - Ignore everything else.(Most procrastinators say, I'm going to get this done but first I'll check my e-mail, then...) N - No breaks. G - Give yourself a reward (such as watching TV guilt free).
